Hennessey Presents 2015 HPE700 Supercharged Ford Mustang

Hennessey 2015 Ford Mustang HPE700 was unveiled in all its glory. Hennessey Performance has come together with Ford to create the Supercharged Upgrade for the 2015 GT. The upgrade is substantial as it boasts of an impressive 717 horsepower, going from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. It is capable of completing the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. John Hennessey was very excited about the new car as he felt it was perfect for their performance minded clients. He believes that the car’s performance rivals some of the fastest European Sports cars. And yet the new car has been positioned at a lower price point starting from $59,500.

The HPE700 is a limited edition model as only 500 units have been planned for production and the demand is sure to be much more than that. The car is different from a standard Mustang and because it is a limited edition its dash and engine plaques will be serial numbered. The power of the Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 engine has been charged up several notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. To cope with the added power the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey’s calibration for the engine management.
