Paul Smith designs can sometimes be identified by his color bars. But one must admit that his color bars do enhance the look of a product. Take for example the new chess board he has created. The new chess board is handmade and it features the multi stripe leather trim around the base. The top of the board is also made from leather. The black and white checks on top have a red outline and white contrast stitching.
The exclusive chess set has a luxurious look and is embossed with the Paul Smith signature on top. The craftsmanship in this handmade board is of the highest order. The bottom of the board is covered in purple suede. The finishing of the board is so perfect that you realize how much of effort, hard work has gone onto producing it.
Chess boards like these will go a long way in promoting the game of chess as even the non followers of the game would like to have it. This limited edition release is probably scheduled to be retailed only in the UK and Japan. And the other thing that is unusual about the chess set is that the pieces are not black and white but black and purple.
