Mah Jong Couture Modular Sofa by Jean paul Gaultier Costs $31,610

Jean Paul Gaultier is one of my favourite designers, and he certainly needs no introduction. This time around, he has personally designed interiors for the 38th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House on the Upper East Side of New York. The modular sofa in the grand entrance hall too has been designed by him.

This is a collection he exclusively created to commemorate Roche Bobois’ 50th anniversary of international design and development. Jean Paul Gaultier has designed bedroom set, sofas, complimentary furniture pieces and accessories for Roche Bobois. Jean Paul Gaultier was born in 1952 near Paris, and has now become a household name for luxury and interiors. He is also a couturier of utmost importance.

His Mah Jong Couture modular sofa in the grand entrance hall comes with hand-made padded cushions, straight and corner backrests. The sofa costs $31,610 but it is worth every single cent you would pay for it. There is also the hand-trolley mirror that comes with red lacquer and steel tubing. It too has been designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and costs $2,690.
