Christian Lacroix has a record of a successful association with Chivas. They have together created new editions earlier which was well received by the market. They are teaming up again for a special edition Chivas Regal 18 Year Old release. This project is the follow up on the launch of Chivas 12 Year old Magnum by Christian Lacroix last year. The company plans to follow the same pattern of release for the new edition Chivas 18 years and will make it available in select travel retail outlets from November.
The packaging this year is fancier than last year. Chivas Regal 18 Year Old by Christian Lacroix features a lavish, brocade presentation box in French jacquard, with a mirrored interior, while the familiar Chivas label on the bottle is also embroidered in jacquard. The bottle itself features an intricate “metallic†design echoing that of Lacroix’s work on the Chivas 12yo magnum.
This special edition release is a limited edition design too. There will be only 3,000 bottles produced and made available to the distribution channel. Out of a total of 3,000 of Lacroix 18 years, one third will be allocated to the duty free market at a retail price of $495.
