Glyn Peter Machin is known for making some very high quality and also high-priced interiors for superyachts. Now one can get hold of some superb furniture made by the renowned high end designers. The best amongst the finishes is a specially developed exterior in black or brown satin that promises to enhance the beauty and colour of each piece. This finish can be seen on TYC019, and as is quite obvious, it is a beauty.
This finishing gives a class and elegance to the piece of furniture that is very hard to emulate. They are offering other finishes as well such as natural, polished sealer, polished oil, satin varnish, high gloss varnish, stains, alwgrip colours and even metallic finishes. This can be seen at this year’s Monaco yacht Show. The design studio makes furniture in teak and other luxury hardwoods as well.
They say, “When we venture into a material often used by others we need to be different and stand out. The TYC092 lounge chair is curved on almost every angle however we chose a weave pattern normally used only on straight lined boxy products. That was our challenge and we have executed it to perfection, even developing a special visual stitch detail in the weaving to overcome complex curves. The always challenging connection point of placing teak and woven fibre together is cleverly disguised by adding in an upholstery piping detail to match the seat cushion piping”.
