To create a more robust and professional environment for professional meetings and other occasions, Elite Meeting International (EMI) has announced that, it has begin structuring a two tier category for the elite properties, such as certified hotels etc. These categories will be Platinum and Gold and will list some of the most luxurious and high end properties in the field of hospitality in North America.
This all new tier structure has been initiated in the behest of meeting professionals and after a consensual agreement from the Elite Meetings Advisory Board (EMAB). The primary purpose of these new categories is to provide the meeting professionals with an accurate list of Elite Certified venue for various professional meetings, events and incentives. The Platinum and Gold designations will be applicable to the previously identified elite properties, as well as the ones that have been added to the list recently.
The classification of an Elite Certified property is bestowed upon by the Elite Meetings Advisory Board, that includes some to the top meeting professionals and executives from the hospitality industry. After a thorough review of a hotel or resort’s way of working and hospitality capabilities, the advisory board then grants that particular venue a place in the Elite Certified properties list.
According to Carol M. Lynch (Director of Planner Communications, EMI),
“Meeting professionals spoke, and we listened – creating an even broader selection of hotel and resort options at www.EliteMeetings.com. †She concluded, “Our goal at Elite Meetings is to consider the needs of planners at every stage of our company’s growth, in every aspect of our offerings; the introduction of our new two-tiered system is another example of that commitment at work.â€
