America’s Largest Car Museum Could Perhaps Be LeMay

What is being touted as the largest museum ‘LeMay’, America’s Car Museum spreads across 9 acres and has opened with a display of $60 million worth vintage vehicles at Tacoma, Washington in North America. The museum has been designed to conserve and observe the automotive culture of the world.  After a long wait for the enthusiasts, the opening of the grand exhibition of LeMay at America’s car museum was an exciting experience in the American automotive history. The extraordinary vehicles collection of Harold Lemay averages around 3500 cars, motorcycles and trucks. These were featured and acknowledged by Guinness records as the largest private collection.

The car showroom was an ultimate dream and the mission of Harold LeMay, which focuses on present accomplishments and future direction with products, design and technology in the automotive industry. The conceived idea of 1998 has taken its shape today in a 3.5 acre show field which hosts car events to rock concerts. It is an educational centre with a banquet hall, meeting rooms, a cafe and library. Nancy LeMay also donated $700,000 for AMC campus.

The celebration at the LeMay began with parties offering various experiences including interactive exhibits, music, dancing and cars from the collection. The second day started at 9 am with a free car show. On Haub Family Field there was another car show which provided an opportunity to show off the museum to family and friends on Sunday, June3. To mention some of the stars of ACM were Indianapolis racecar, a 1947 Spyder Corsa, the Duesenberg and Tucker.

The four story museum also presented exhibits including British Invasion, collection of James Bonds and the designs of Austin-Healy, Triumph and Jaguar.
