The Extravagant St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort Opens for Guests

St. Regis has established itself as a luxury hotel brand and has been on a worldwide expansion mode for some time now. The latest in the luxury chain to open its doors for guests is the opulent St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort. The new South Florida resort became the 28th St. Regis hotel in the world as it was inaugurated last Thursday. It has been the most anticipated hotel of year 2012 and is destined to become the landmark hotel of the region. St. Regis have created some unique properties including its New York hotel in Manhattan which has become a preferred destination for many.

The St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort has the advantage of a prime location. Located at 9307 Collins Avenue, the architecture and design of the hotel is such that it looks like it is climbing up from the ground. The hotel has been in the making for six years. It took an investment of $1 billion to bring the hotel from the planning board to its extravagant reality. It is competing directly with luxury properties like the Delano and W South Beach but is sure to reach an iconic status.

Yabu Pushelberg, the design firm was in charge of the design and if you see the interiors you will realize that no expense has been spared to make it a one of a kind property. The USP of the new hotel is the first ever restaurant by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, J & G Grill. The two residential towers of the hotel provide a total of 243 guest rooms but it is the designer shopping mall that is sure to attract more people to the hotel complex and turn it into an international playground.
