Diana’s Wedding Dress by Elizabeth Emmanuel Goes Under Hammer

A duplicate of Diana’s wedding dress and a pair of shoes had been placed in London’s auction house. The perfect copy of the gown she wore on her wedding day was made by Elizabeth Emmanuel and David for Madame Tussaud’s wax work. Though it is not original, Diana wedding dress auction had fetched  a significant price $132,000. During royal wedding how the dress was made, exact duplicate dress was made using the same fabrics, toile, and trimmings as the original. Everything is identical to the previous one except for some minor difference. Carrickmacross lace used was not identical to the original.

Wedding gown is always a precious posession as it symbolizes the important event of one’s life. The dress should be preserved with care to cherish the lifetime memories. When you marry a person you should have back up plan to get it done everything in perfect replica. The same way you cherish the memory of Diana’s wedding, princess of Wales, in ivory taffeta gown, which was viewed approximately by 750 million people on television.

 

Diana’s slipper and wedding dress both were auctioned this week in London’s Kerry Taylor auction house for $132,000. The purpose of creating replicas of Clive Shilton shoes and David Emanuel gown are to be on the safer side, if something went wrong prior to the wedding ceremony with the outfit. The dress was bought by a Fashion Museum, and the slipper was bought by a private customer. The shoes have C and D initials on the sole which are joined together with heart shape design.
