Here is the poor man’s version of Surface priced at just $1,299. The transparent touchscreen workspace will first debut for public appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January. The 40-inch HD baby will hit shelves in 2012 whereas the HTML5 multi-touch development kit and the bi-directional application store are expected to open to developers sooner.
However the company ExoPC has kept the hardware specs under the wraps as of now. the teaser video shows that this one is pretty close to what Microsoft Surface SUR40 offers. The company presently manufacturers a pair of tablets running Windows 7 and this is their first time with something like this.
