2012 Special Edition MINI Created to Commemorate the London 2012 Olympic Games

The countdown for the London Olympics has begun and even the European debt crisis is unable to over shadow it. England would like to make the 2012 London Olympic Games special in every which way and hopefully it will not only benefit the Great Britain alone but entire Europe. The run up to the games has just started and you now have commemorative special editions being released in the market. Mini has unveiled its new London 2012 Olympic special limited edition models to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games.

These special edition cars will be produced only in colors matching the Union Jack flag, that is, Chilli Red, White Silver, or Lightning Blue. There are other features in the cars that highlight the London Games. You can see the logo for the 2012 Olympics in the mirror housings and the roof. There is a Union Jack stripe that runs along the length of the car. It is a tiny narrow stripe that doesn’t distract. London 1 of 2012 is etched on the dashboard along with the London skyline.

The colors of the Union Jack are visible almost everywhere in the car. The leather seats, handbrake, shifter boot, and floor mats all receive red and blue stitching with white piping. The special edition Minis will be available in different models with different features. The cars are available in Mini Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S, and Cooper SD. The cars will be priced between £17,800 to £20,860, which translates to $27,900 to $32,700. The cars will be ready for delivery by March 2012. The special edition models will be limited to only 2012 pieces to match the year of the London Olympics.
