Hot Luxury Conference by International Herald Tribune to be Held in Brazil

When one talks about the economic growth and luxury markets, the domination of China overshadows all other pockets of growth. We sometimes even make the mistake of ignoring exciting developments in the other parts of the world. Brazil is the other exciting growth story that doesn’t always get its due. But all that is going to change as the focus is shifting to Brazil with the International Herald Tribune “Hot Luxury” conference scheduled to take place in São Paulo later this year. The two day conference will attract the top executives and minds from the fashion and luxury industry.

MARIO TESTINO will be the keynote speaker at the conference being held at Hotel Unique on November 10 & 11. For the luxury industry Brazil is perhaps the most exciting place to be in. The steaming economy and the opulent upper class has created an enthusiasm for luxury goods which is rarely seen in the western world. Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera, Puig chairman Marc Puig Guasch, and Calvin Klein’s Francisco Costa will all join Testino in his native continent for the two-day conference.

Suzy Menkes, fashion editor of International Herald Tribune and chair of the luxury conference series is all excited and thrilled about the upcoming conference. She is confident that the stellar line up of speakers will offer inspiration and insight in to one of the world’s most exhilarating luxury markets. It will give the right perspective to fashion houses and luxury brands about approaching the Brazil market. No two markets are the same and each market requires a unique strategy of its own. It was high time Brazil got the attention it deserves.
