Porsche Design Studio Creates a Private Bar for Johnnie Walker Blue Label

Porsche Design Studio has become very versatile in the recent past and have come up with designs for products in the most unlikely fields. Their latest design is for a private bar. Porsche Design Studio has come together with Johnnie Walker Blue Label to create the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Collection and the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Private Bar. They have designed many items for the collection but the Private Bar is the central piece of the collection. It is 220 cms in height and weighs 450 Kg.

No price has been declared for the bar but the materials used to make it and the finish is such that you can rest assured that it is going to cost a bomb. Titanium and leather has been used to make the accessories also to make them a perfect match with the bar. Motion sensors have been incorporated in the bar to activate its opening. It opens to a perfect 180 degrees to showcase three bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and four crystal glasses. The bottles and the glasses are all placed at a precise angle of 24 degrees.

A chiller is individually available for £240 and holds a single bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. If you want to go in for a cube it will cost you £490. It comes with an individually numbered bottle of Blue Label. The other accessories that come along with it include an ice chiller, stainless steel tongs and four bespoke Blue Label crystal glasses. All the accessories in the exclusive  collection will soon be available at Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, and Royal Mile Whiskies from October 2011. The private bar will be available exclusively from Harrods and will be made against order. The collection will be on display at some of the top London hotels like the Savoy and Mandarin Oriental.
