Owned by Brunei Investment Agency (BIA), the Dorchester Collection is a renowned luxury hotel operator, which has already established its presence in important capitals of the world. As of today it owns and manages 8 luxury five star hotels i.e. The Dorchester, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Plaza Athénée, Hotel Meurice, Principe di Savoia, The New York Palace Hotel, Hotel Bel-Air and Coworth Park. Its upcoming London property is will open its gates of luxury for guests somewhere in August this year.
Hailed as 45 Park Lane, this luxury boutique hotel will just have 45 rooms and is called to be one of the smallest luxury properties in the city. This isn’t really peculiar of the Dorchester Collection for they are usually known for larger properties in other cities. In-room amenities would include Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems, mirror-mounted television screens in the bathroom, personalized mini-bars and also amenity kits. The seven-floored hotel will look over scenic views of Hyde Park, with the interior featuring cerused mahogany and suede walls and marble bathrooms. The hote;’s mezzanine floor, on the other hand, will have a bar and a small cinema room.
Another distinguishing feature of the hotel is that it will feature the first European outpost for celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. The CUT at 45 Park Lane will be much similar to the CUT restaurants which are already operating in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, Maui and Singapore. The concept is to have a “modern American steak restaurant” that will serve everything from rime dry and wet aged beef to succulent pan-roasted lobster and sautéed and roasted whole fresh fish. The season rates for a room which is scheduled for a September opening will start at £395 and eventually touch the price of £695 in near term.
