Ever since one of the premier luxury car brands, Jaguar, was taken over by the Indian automobile behemoth, Tata Motors, there has been an increased surge of fascinating news from the Jaguar camp in regards to the launch and proposed launch of various high performance Jaguar luxury cars. The most recent being the Jaguar XKR-S, that is also hailed as the fastest production model from the British luxury auto brand. However, now Jaguar has taken the auto world by storm, as the company has now announced that it will soon be pressing into production the jaw dropping Jaguar C-X75, a hybrid supercar that is being designed and developed in collaboration with Williams F1.
The all new Jaguar C-X75 first stunned the crowds at the Paris Auto Show, where Jaguar had showcased this incredible hybrid speed demon as a concept car. The all new Jaguar C-X75 is expected to hit showrooms by the year 2013 and the company is planning to build 250 pieces of the concept that races around at a top speed of 205 m.p.h and is powered by a low-displacement, turbocharged internal-combustion engine and two electric motors, where in each of the axle mounts a motor. As per the company’s claims, the C-X75 will be able to accelerate from 0-to-60 m.p.h. in under 3 seconds, while completing the 0-to-100 mph run in under 6 seconds, and maintain the carbon emission rates to under 99g/km. This fabulous car when launched will come with a price tag of a range between $1.1 million to $1.5 million..
According to Ian Callum (Director, Design, Jaguar),
“We were always determined that the Jaguar C-X75 would be as striking on the road as it was in concept form. This will be the finest looking and most innovative Jaguar ever produced. Even in the world of supercars, we can still produce the most beautiful.â€
