Serendipity 3, the famous Manhattan coffee house boutique has recently added ‘haute’ dog to its menu. It is definitely not an ordinary hot dog, its ‘haute’ dog, meaning it is especially designed most expensive hot dog ever! It is the same ‘Serendipity Foot Long Haute Dog’ that had made a record as most expensive hot dog in Guinness World Records a year ago. It is definitely the most luxurious food in the world; it costs $69 and is made of most exotic, rich ingredients.
Luxury travel and luxury food often go hand in hand hence it is not surprising to see restaurants adding exotic, record breaking and rare items to their menu to attract elite guests and travellers. Serendipity 3 seems to have found a unique way to attract customers by creating a record breaking delicious food items. Not so long ago they had created World’s Most Expensive Ice Cream Sundae and World’s Largest Hot Chocolate. Their “Frrozen Haute Chocolate†was actually infused with edible gold and had a gold serving spoon decorated with white and chocolate colored diamonds. It cost nearly $25,000! Their latest “Haute’ dog is made of pure beef, German pretzel bun, and its grilled in white truffle oil and butter and topped with exotic stuff like medallions of duck foie gras, condiments of black truffle Dijon mustard etc.
One cannot deny that Serendipity 3 has made food extremely glamorous and luxurious over years but it is not just food which is glamorous here, their celebrity client list consists of former US president Bill Clinton, Sarah Palin, Zac Efron and others and it has also been backdrop for a Hollywood comedy. They certainly know how to be under spotlight!
