The latest addition to the Dolce Hotels and Resorts, this 349-room-and-suite resort opened its gates on February 11th and is located on the shores of the biggest privately owned man-made lake in the United States. Located on the former Ritz Carlton, 17 miles off the Las Vegas Strip, the Ravella caters to all kinds of travellers, be it corporate honchos, couples, families, and you name it. One can enjoy kayaking, boating and fly fishing, or a game of golf at the nearby SouthShore Jack Nicklaus golf course.
For those wanting to relax, there a 24 treatment room, 30,000-square-foot Mediterranean-inspired spa, salon and a fitness center to rejuvenate yourself through a variety of massages, exercises and treatments. For business, the Ravella boasts of a 11,841-square-foot ballroom with 7,423 square feet of pre-function area, a smaller 4,700- square-foot junior ballroom, 10 function rooms that include two elegantly appointed boardrooms, and a large climate-controlled outdoor pavilion for lakeside events.
The Ravella also has the La Capella di Amore, Vegas’s only over-water chapel, and two marinas near the Village Lake Las Vegas, which is an enclave that looks right out of the pictures of those gorgeous lake communities in Italy and France. This resort looks postcard perfect, and it’s good to note the fairly affordable rates and discounts. Seems like it’s designed as a great place to host company getaways too, but equally nice to pamper oneself.
