He has turned out to be one of the most successful artists after his death. While he was always one of the most successful, he ran into big financial problems.
These problems and the ill health took a toll on him and he passed away at an untimely age. This time around, he has been ranked second only to Oprah Winfrey in terms of earnings. He also got the top honours on the list of Top-Earning Dead Celebrities. Elvis Presley stands at the second position with an earnings of $60 million.
Michael Jackson stands apart with an annual earnings of $275 million. If only all this money came to him when he were alive, he probably would have survived for a longer time. However, it was his death that made him earn more and hence he could never have earned this money when he was alive. This is perhaps the paradox of a celebrity’s life that has gone wrong.
