Elite Estate: World’s Richest Man Buys Duke-Semans Mansion

Duke-Semans Mansion in New York City is one of the most famous landmarks and prestigious addresses in the world. The almost heritage building has been the cynosure of many tourists’ and New Yorker’s eyes. This time around, the property was bought by the world’s richest man Mexican telecommunications mogul Carlos Slim.

In fact, he had even beat Warren Buffet and Bill Gates to capture the title of World’s Richest Man earlier this year. He has a total net worth of $53.5 billion. He paid $44 million for the stunning Duke-Semans Mansion in New York. The mansion has a space of 20,000 sq ft, and was built way back in the year 1901.

The building comes with doctor’s office in the basement, a five-story main residence, a penthouse duplex on top, 12 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and 11 wood-burning fireplaces. It is even located in one of the hippest areas of New York City and there isn’t really an end to admiring buildings like these. All one could do is, wish that we could buy houses and mansions like these too, though they are far from being delusional.
