Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have donated billions of dollars from their fortunes. Now they are trying to urge other such billionaires to donate atleast half their wealth to charities. It seems that last year in a secret meeting, some of the world’s leading philanthropists met to discuss this. According to gates, this 50 percent should be the lower bar for their generosity.
Warren Buffet is leading by example who apparently is donating almost 99 percent of his total wealth! That is really something. It’s another thing that even one percent of his total fortune is more than what most of us make in our lifetime, but such a gesture is nonetheless that very few would dare do. But Fortune magazine has listed some likeminded billionaires like Eli and Edy Broad, John and Ann Doerr, H.F. “Gerry” and Marguerite Lenfest and John and Tashia Morgridge, who have pledged atleast 50 percent of their net worth.
Bill and Melinda Gates plan to hold lots of dinners in the future where they will invite some of the richest people in the country and talk to them about what their money can do to help others. If the couple’s plan actually works, then it would translate into a lot of money being pumped into various causes. Only time will tell if this bears fruit or not.

Any American reading this??Here is how these “charity pledges” would work out for the “poor” people….most of the donations would be usurped half way by politicians and middle-men, and the money that would get to the “poor” people would make them taky charity money for granted and grow lazy…and one day ..one day..LISTEN TO THIS GOOD…Everyone who works hard for every bit of hit money will be FORCED to pay up by some Soicaist Charity commision..I like in India and how it all grows with time…this disease…If these billionaires need something to feel good in their old age, good for them…but they have no right to tell others what to do with their money…God Bless America and God bless the ant…screw the grasshoppers!!
