W Hotels Worldwide opens its first South East Asian resort at Koh Samui

The W Hotels Worldwide will be opening its first hotel in South East Asia at Koh Samui this summer. The beachfront resort has only lavish villas that has 75 properties with private swimming pools. The villas will range from hilltop getaways to spectacular shore-line getaways that are right at the beach. There are also 17 residences that range from 3 to 5 bedrooms adjacent to the resort.

The President and Chairman of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific, Miguel Ko said,  “W Koh Samui will redefine the way we live and play. After a fantastic and successful introduction of the first-ever W Retreat in the Maldives, we are delighted to bring W to Koh Samui, one of the coolest islands in Southeast Asia.”

The lucky guests will be able to relish the delicious food by having special dining reservations and seating at the The Kitchen Table, which is the Retreat’s main restaurent. They will also be able to dine at Namu, a modern Japanese restaurant, and the Sip Lounge.

The resort’s spa called the aWay Spa will offer various versions of Thai treatments and also the traditional therapies. The main attraction however is the “Thaimazcal”. It is the first treatment of its kind in Asia. It is based on Mexican tribal rituals that combine local Thai ingrediants with sauna. The resort is opening on August 1.
