How cool would it be to have your very own submarine. You will need to have the money for it ofcourse. The U-Boat Worx advanced personal C-Quester submarines, specially designed with one-atmosphere pressure hull and air conditioning came out some time back. Now the company has announced a new line of exploration submersibles called “C-Explorers” . Certified for diving to depths upto 1,000 meters,these submersibles are truly amazing.
The C-Explorers range comes in makes that can carry about one to six passengers and can be used for both personal and commercial purposes. The catamaran-style design concept is new but the technology specs come from C-Quester.The special features are a fully acrylic pressure hull, Germanischer Lloyd Classification, maneuverability and speed, air conditioning, launch from trailer ramp, patented floaters with flexible bags that folds in when submerging, allowing it to glide through the water easily.
The new design is wired with a wide variety of optional accessories including robotic manipulator arms, underwater navigation systems, high-definition video cameras and an integrated remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that can be controlled from inside the submersible for clear underwater viewing.
Additional work has begun on a C-Explorer 2 (two passengers). The Explorer 2 will be up for public view during the Monaco Yacht Show being held from September 22 to 25, 2010. Prices range from $378,000 for a one-seater and goes up to $1.1 million for a five-seater model.
