Bombay Sapphire’s Precious $23K Cocktail Glass ‘Chalice’ To Be Auctioned in Rome

Come May 11, the coffee house of Palazzo Colonna in Rome will witness a rare charity auction by famous Bombay Sapphire and Sotheby. Bombay Sapphire, premium gin brand, and Sotheby will showcase and auction 19 rare exclusive, exquisite cocktail glasses created by best designers from all over the world. The charity auction is for a noble cause, the proceeds will go to two foundations, ‘AIRC Lazio Committee’ and Australian ‘Cure for Life’, which are working on cancer cure.

The main attraction of the auction is the tall “Chalice”  cocktail glass studded with 226 blue sapphires created by renowned Australian designer Peter Crisp. It is an art piece which is an amazing fusion of glass, sapphire stones, mounted in gold and platinum and its approximate value is $23,000. The collection will also feature other awesome exquisite glassware of designers Tom Dixon, Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, Eva Zeisel, Dakota Michael Graves and others.  This is rare charity event which also celebrates cocktail glass designs from all over the world.

Many celebrities, international guests and members of Bombay Sapphire Foundation which promotes innovative glass designs are expected to grace the event.
