Ducati Streetfighter: Wait for Dream Superbike is Over, Nearly

Touted the most powerful motorcycle that Italians have ever built, The Streetfighter, Ducati’s Superbike will blaze the roads in May 2009. The superbike’s making was first announced late last year in Milan. Want to race it already?

A dream bike many would love to own, it will have racing silencers, undertank side panels, a swing-arm guard, a passenger seat cover and a rear hugger made of carbon. The superbike is dubbed Ducati Streetfighter S. Other features of the superbike include Marchesini wheels and Ohlins suspension. It has a slipper clutch kit that will prevent the rear wheel lock up under aggressive downshifting. It also has an electronic shifter that helps shifting faster.

The design of the superbike is aggressive too. The bike’s innovative design with a unique profile exhaust and caps help give it that look. Use of light allow in this hi-tech design make the billet clutch the best feature in its look.
