Kingsley architects have designed the SolarHome which is a step ahead of normal houseboats. I am sure many of you would like a relaxing weekend or even a week or a fortnight in one of these luxurious houseboats. The Solarhome is made of low-carbon material and is the best example of modern floating architecture.
The SolarHome is presently located in Lusatian Lakelands, germany. The SolarHomes use solar energy and can operate in two different modes. The Docked mode requires fresh water, power etc but the Self Sufficient Mode would operate without anything like these for about 6 to 12 months.
The Solar Home is equipped with all the modern amenities one might want and I must say it sure is going to be funner than hell. You really must contact the designers and enquire if they would be willing to design a customized SolarHome for you. There is no information about the price or availability whatsoever.
