Wide Canvas: Sharp unveils 108-inch LCD Display for the Middle East

Sharp seems to be making plenty of waves these days with larger than life television models and the ones driven completely by solar energy. But that is not all Sharp is doing right now. The company has decided to give the ultra-lavish and luxury craving Middle East another reason to celebrate with its new 108-inch LCD Display that has been specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of the region. The large screen was unveiled at Gitex 2008 in Dubai and it surely stole the show with its sheer size.

This specially crafted 1080p (1920×1080) display has a fan-less design that reduces the intake of dust from the outside and is perfect for Middle East’s dusty weather. Apart from the obvious great picture display, this ensures that all the hassles of that come with the models with fan are avoided. The 108-inch LCD Display is priced at $150,000 and that would still surely interest many folk in Dubai to get one. Sharp might have just hit on a bit of a jackpot.
