The Blue Train Declared World’s Leading Luxury Train Third Consecutive Time

The Blue Train has reaffirmed its position as the world’s leading Luxury Train by retaining the title awarded by World Travel awards. At the ceremony held at Doha, Qatar, this year the Blue Train was declared the World’s Leading Luxury Train for the third consecutive year. The WTA has established itself as the most prestigious awards of the travel industry over the 19 years of its existence. In fact, the Wall Street Journal calls it the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’. The Blue Train can no doubt be proud of its unprecedented achievement.

The selection process for the awards is very rigorous and can hardly be influenced by an individual as the votes are cast by 213,000 travel professionals coming from travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organizations spread over 160 countries. Hanlie Kotze, the executive manager of the Blue Train is justifiably proud of the achievement and calls it a great achievement not only for the organization but entire South Africa. Transfer Freight Rail has proved its worth as an organization that provides railway services. They are responsible for developing this product and maintaining it to the world class standards.

The Blue Train faced competition from several world class luxury trains and the company is thrilled to have come out on top again. Kotze gave full credit to the wonderful team of people who are responsible for running and maintaining the train. The team is obviously committed and passionate about their work. They ensure that the guests traveling by the train return home satisfied as it gets more people to visit South Africa and also experience the luxurious ride on the Blue Train.
