California Audio Technology Presents The All New World’s Most Expensive In-Wall Speakers, ‘MBX System Speakers’


How far are you willing to go to get yourself the best audio performance from your in-wall speakers. When it comes to state of the art audio speaker sets and luxury speaker systems, sky seems to be the limit. This has once again be proven by one of the foremost names in luxury audio, California Audio Technology (CAT), which has now showcased the all new MBX System speakers at the CEDIA Expo 2011. These incredible speakers not only boast of  high performance audio quality but are also being hailed as the world’s most expensive in-wall speakers, carrying a staggering price tag of $110,000 per channel. To ensure that this new system churns out the very best of audio quality, each of the woofers will come with its dedicated amplifier. The crown jewel of the MBX System speaker is its customer designed 22-inch aluminum cone woofers and are powered by separate Avonite panels.

The MBX System speakers are further complimented with 8.5 inch woofers and a pair of 12 inch subwoofers that primarily focus on the bass aspects of an audio stream. To further filter the sound and bring out the best of it, the MBX System comes with 5.5-inch midrange aluminum drivers as well as a single 1-inch silk dome neodymium magnet tweeter.  This one of a kind speaker system has been designed and developed to be used in large open areas, where the audio get the optimal conditions to be expanded.
