The largest unfinished family home in America is up for sale. David Siegel, Orlando’s time share mogul and his wife Jacqueline recently put their 13 bedroom and 23 bathroom mansion on Lake Butler on the market for $75 million.
The house lovingly called “Versailles†after the French palace that inspired it offers 66,800 square feet of heated and air conditioned space on a total of 90,000 square foot house. The house features twenty car garage and has commercial grade kitchen with hibachi grill that can seat twelve people. Other features include 7,200 square foot grand hall capped by a 30 foot wide stained glass dome along with two lane bowling alley, children’s theater, roller rink and arcade.
The realtor Lorraine Barrett with ‘Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’ said that the interest has been strong among international business executives from Russia, Middle East and other parts of the world. The house when completed will be the biggest in Orange County. Currently the position is held by Orlando Magic Guard Vince Carter who has a 42,134 square foot home. The house has been on hold since last year due to recession’s effect on time share industry. It is still 12 to 18 months from completion.
