First it rained cats and dogs, then came the extremely hot men and now it’s raining broken bones?! Re-using and recycling is a mantra for a lot of people but when designers get to making things with waste objects the finished product is more than just green, they are wicked!
ReadyMade magazine gave its readers the task of making every day products out of discarded objects that wouldn’t usually be reused. They probably never expected Anastacia Spada to get creative with something as mundane as x-rays. the X-Ray Umbrella has been made with, what else, a slew of x-rays all showing off eery ghostly pictures of bones. Anastacia insists that with the maount of money we spend on x-rays over the year, it makes sense to flaunt them someone instead of just having your doctor look through them.

Japanese Superstore Tokyu Hands has launched the Shoulderbrella, which is a umbrella that can be worn around the shoulders. Most people find carrying umbrellas and holding them a big pain, as they not only hurt your hands and arms, but may also result in repetitive muscle injury.
You could choose to wrap it around a shoulder or in order to gain more balance, you could wrap it around both the shoulders. When the wind picks up, it will not fly away, and you won’t feel tired or hurt if you have to walk long distances in the rain, as there is no need for you to manually hold the umbrella upright.

The world just got its most expensive umbrella. This beauty is made entirely from black top-grade crocodile skin treated for water resistance. And we have to thank Formula One mogul Flavio Briatore and deisgner Angelo Galasso for this killer product that is launched under the Italian brand ‘Billionaire Couture’.
The over-sized umbrella is available only by special order from Billionaire Couture’s new London flagship store in Sloane Street, SW 1 for a whopping amount of $50,000.

Losing your way in the rain couldn’t have been more fun. Some wise fella has designed an umbrella that can also serve as a good guide map in case you lose your way in Istanbul. Yep, the city’s plan is neatly chalked out on the umbrella itself with distinguished markings for all popular cafes, restaurants and hot spots.
Let’s first appreciate innovative thinking and then we shall lambast the little invention for its poor practical usage. See, the map pattern is kindah cool, you will definitely make heads turn with this one. But the actual use of the map looks tricky. How in the world will you refer to the map when it is raining? Won’t you fear getting wet? And it will not serve any purpose outside Istanbul.

The day is eagerly awaited when all the concepts actually turn reality! Think of a form of an umbrella that can not only be your defense weapon or a wi-fi enabled accessory but can also be usedc to transfer data via its Bluetooth feature. Yes, if that unbreakable umbrella, futuristic wi-fi Pileus umbrella or latest touchscreen and Bluetooth enabled umbrella meets reality than there won’t be anything called wish list.
The Bluetooth umbrella concept with a radio feature by Mikhail Stawsky stands on top to keep you dry. It is accessible to answer calls and talk via the Knob. I am doubtful if it needs to be attached against the ears. The touchscreen display features usual choices like answer/divert and volume.

The incorporated radio functionality allows you to recreate Singing In The Rain and enjoy the company of your loved ones from a distance via this umbrella.
