The Vertu Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre is being touted as the world’s toughest phone which is almost indestructible. It has a shell which has been engineered to perfection and is made of carbon fibre. There is no information about the specifications or features but being a Vertu phone, you could expect the standard camera, music player and other things like networking. It is intriguing because the phone comes at a time when there is a huge demand for luxury phones instead of durable phones. And it comes from the house of luxury cellphone makers!

It’s being over two-years that Logic Instrument has received FCC approval for its Tetra T-Pad toughest smartphone. And all this while there was no word about its production. But now this dust-resistant, weathered Tetra T-Pad costing $2,600 is available for sale. It sports a shock-resistant form and uses Intel Xscale 400MHz PXA 263 processor. Other highlighting specks include Windows CE.NET, 4.2, 4.0″ Transmissive TFT VGA, (480 x 640) outdoor Readable Touch screen Display, 16-Bit Color Display, 16 Key Alphanumeric Keyboard, battery life of five-hours, Bluetooth-enabled, WiFi, GPS, Ethernet with options for USB and modem.
The phone has passed 25-tests meeting U.S. military standards, concerning the harshest setting. Weighing 1.3 pounds, the T-Pad can endure fright, quaver, and frozen conditions.
