rms-titanic RMS Titanic To Wade In Your Pools Waters

Titanic is one ship that has left its indelible mark in history as well as in our minds. Perhaps, that is why folks are forever trying to recreate its magic with film and the documentaries. However, none has ventured into the fields that RMS Titanic comes from. This one is reproduction of the grand boat at a scale of 1:50. Some close to 400 man-hours were spent in assembling this 6-foot beauty that comes with a remote control.

The makers reveal that 300 individually handcrafted pieces like sculpted cedar strips, white maple planks and mahogany superstructures have been put together. A lot of attention and care has gone in to keeping up with the minutest detail of the original Titanic that sailed in 1912.

If you thought Titanic was long gone and the only way to experience what happened on that fateful ship was to watch Leo’s movie, well you are wrong. Now you can go ahead and take the Balmoral cruise that would mimic every action of the Titanic.

It would mark the 100 years anniversary of the ship sinking in April 1912. Now, the cruise will begin in Southampton, just like it did in the original Titanic day. Also, the ship would carry the same number of passengers and would visit the place where the ship sank. After a memorial service, the ship would take the cruisers to Nova Scotia to check out the graves and finally reach New York.

Mother of All Luxury Liners: ‘Celebrity Solstice’

Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity Solstice

If Titanic was here, it would have loved to meet its competitor ‘Celebrity Solstice’.

Titanic had a capacity of 3,547 passengers and crew, this one has a lesser capacity- 3000 passengers, but claims to have extra ordinary features. It is 315m-long as against Titanic’s 269.1 m. But if you ask me honestly, I would say that Titanic is still a better innovator. Imagine, Titanic was launched in 1912 and, the facilities it had!! Amazing! Having said that, let us give the due credit to ‘Celebrity Solstice’. It is the first to have real grass on its lawn. That would be a great support to people who fall sea sick looking at miles and miles of water. What,s more, you can even go for your bare feet morning walk on the grass!

Celebrity Solstice

This U.S. cruise ship will be officially launched some time in November this year, giving a huge challenge to other liners that have suddenly become so puny in comparison to this giant. Honey mooners! Keep track of this one to make your date life time memorable.

World's Largest Cruise Ship, Independence of the Seas, UK, cruise ship, yacht

Inferno hauls greet the world’s largest cruise ship, the Independence of the Seas as she enters in the U.K. for the first time on 25 April in Southampton, southern England. This giant 160,000 tonne yacht will function all through the year from the city. Valued at $793 million (Euros 508 million), this Royal Caribbean cruise ship was constructed in the Aker Finnyards drydock in Turku, Finland and is the dual biggest sail liner together with her sister ships Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. It draws contrast with the Titanic in terms of her giantly size by being 230ft longer than the Titanic. Right after Titanic met misfortune, the largest cruise ship has proved to be a risk for her owners, who witnessed a surge in fuel prices and calming down of global economy within three years of commissioning of ship.

The pool of facilities offered by this princess includes a 2,000-seater dining room, a choice of an ice rink, a 1,350-seat theatre, a surf simulator and a nine-hole miniature golf course. The naming ceremony for the ship is due on 30 April before she boards on her foremost paying journey on 2 May.
