Okay, here is a question for you. How many types of clocks are known to man? Analog…digital and lexicon. Well, the answer is both right and wrong for there is yet another new piece of clock that sets about to change a couple of things. Dubbed QLOCKTWO (all capital letters, yeah), this one is fourth dimension squared. If you could not fathom that then let us tell you that this one is a timepiece that tells time in words.

A quadratic matrix of letters form this unique device and it is these letters that get illuminated with every passing minute. But the actual ime is displayed in-between 5 minute intervals. However, if you wish to know the EXACT time then you just have to look closely at the corner into the illuminated dots. Owing to its brightness sensor, QLOCKTWO automatically adjusts the illuminating power of the letters.

girard-perregaux-cats-eye-annual-and-zodiac-calendars-watch Zodiac Watch By Girard Perregaux

Women love to talk and read about zodiacs. And so, Girard Perregaux took a subsequent and logical step to introduce a zodiac indicator in the Cat’s Eye Annual and Zodiac Calendar timepiece. What the man has done is that he has added a Girard-Perregaux GP033MO automatic mechanical movement to tell time, date, month, zodiac and moonphase to the stunning oblong case and mother of pearl dial in the Cat’s Eye watch line.

Indeed, this is a lot of information in the 35.25mm wide by 30.25mm tall timepiece which has been beautifully crafted from 18 K gold (you can pick between white or pink) and then decorated with diamonds that equal 0.68 carats. The dial has been cut from a piece of mother of pearl and is available in both pink and white gold hands. But it is the singular diamond placed like a star on the face of the clock near the four o’clock position that draws instant attention.

clock Stephen Hawking unveils the clock that eats time!
Cambridge has made another piece of history by launching an extraordinary clock by an extraordinary person at Christi College. Launched by Cambridge professor Stephen Hawking, this two million dollar wonder took seven years to be brought to life. The clock is designed by John Taylor, who has already made a reputation for creating bizarre time pieces. The philosophy behind this clock, in Taylor’s word is that “once a minute is gone you can’t get it back” and this is visualized in the form of a huge grasshopper that literally eats the minutes. The clock has the grasshopper with an open mouth, that keeps opening its mouth wide and when the minute is complete, it swallows the time and gulps it down!

The clock is to be placed outside the New Taylor Library, which has been named so after its maker.
