Let’s admit. There is indeed an uncanny resemblance between the exquisite jewelry Vacheron Constantin Kallania watch and the Graff Superstar watch. But that did not stop the former from bagging the Best Jewelry Watch Award at the Vogue Jewels Awards 2009 that were held with a lot of pomp and show in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
From the very day that Kallania made its debut early this year at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH exhibition) has created quite a stir in the world of high-end fashion. After all, it is a stunning piece that has been created in 18 karat white gold has some 186 beat-set emerald cut diamonds embedded all across it bracelet, case and even the dial.

Brand MB&F has come together with artist Sage Vaughn to create magic in time with something that they like to call the Horological Machine No.2 aka HM2. This timepiece is one of its kind and will be auctioned at Only Watch, which is a charity auction for the benefit of the research nto Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) to be held on 24 September this year in Monaco. The HSH Prince Albert II is the patron of this event.
We hear that this stunningly gorgeous timepiece has been signed by the artist who presents DMD. The blackened gold barbed wire traps both the movement and the blued gold butterfly. The wings of the pretty insect are clipped to signify the unsuccessful struggle against DMS.
