Steampunk is a design trend that is really catching on with even some mainstream designers taking inspiration from those who love to rev it up and create that unusual yet unique look. The Millennium Chess Table is a wonderful example of the perfect Steampunk design integrated with cool features that make it a truck load of fun. Build to please the Star Wars loyal, the table follows the design of the ship religiously and with meticulous detail. The 50 seconds of music and lighting that emanates from the in-built flash drive mimics the scene from movie as well.

The designs of the table along with its audio and video capabilities make it an exclusively unique piece, that the maker claims would not be repeated by him. Of course, he promises to make non-Steampunk-styled versions of the table and sell them off.

Somewhere in the future it is almost certain that humans will get bionic and will have all sort of weird stuff embedded into them both out of necessity and just for the heck of it. Looking cool will take a whole new meaning then, but till the getting a glittering new finger that can control your world is the in-thing, the Finger Touching Concept phones lets you play with the bionic idea. You need not get the Finger Touching phone implanted into your skin as it can just be strapped on to your wrist and from then on you can ‘talk to the hand!’
The phone uses a digital hologram that projects the keypad onto your fingers and uses the knuckles as separators. So the next time you need to text, you better be pretty good with shuffling between the knuckles. Once you place a call then just hold the phone to your head in the well known ‘call me’ style and you are good to go.

This could be a dream come true for all you movie buffs out there. The real McCoy, yep the same one used in the original Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, can be yours for an impressive $185,000. If the amount is too huge, don’t fret you can still go home wearing the real fedora hat donned by Indiana Jones in Temple of Doom for it’s priced a little less at $61,000. Even Jones’ bullwhip is on sale at the same cost.
The auction will be on December 11, and these three are not the only original props to be included. Other than the most sought after Luke Skywalker that is the property of Star Wars producer Gary Kurtz, you will find a lot of groovy movie stuff by Profiles History.

The R2 fans with spare cash to burn can find ideal bait here. You may not qualify as a nerd as R2 has revised its functionality to a refrigerator against its earlier appearances facilitating gadget and robot needs. Dubbed as R2 mini fridge, the tall, handsome and ultra lusturous refrigerator was developed in 2002 as a reward for an Attack of the Clones contest scheduled at 7-11 Stores of Japan. Measuring 64cm x 51cm x 35cm, the customized feature of the fridge allows you to set it feature its hot or cold effect thereby servinbg you with cold icecream and hot soup. Beware, if you continue playing with its hot-cold/ cold-hot functionality then chances are you may not be able to preserve drinks.

And yes this belongs to the category of limited edition offerings as counted 1000 refrigerators were produced and this one is available for sale at a demanding price of $1070 on Toy East. If may seem a bit pricey to you and me but ask a Star Wars aficionado and he would say: “Realize the priceless value in owning such beauty and you won’t question its material price tag.” So true!
