All right, we have always been aware of celebrity soccer players and their penchant for things luxurious. But their wives? Well, we did not expect the same from their better halves with the sole exception of former Spice Girl member Victoria Beckham. Coleen, wife of British footballer Wayne Rooney, has been a bundle of surprises. Take her first marriage anniversary commemoration gift, for instance.
If our sources are to be believed, then Rooney’s wifey has gone on to buy a gem-encrusted leather couch for their grand home to mark the completion of their first year of marriage. The purchase was made from SCS and the makers went on to make the furniture as blingy as they could with Swaorvski stones because the world is now familiar with Coleen’s fondness for the ices thanks to her $140,000 worth Marches wedding dress that too was studded with brilliant Swarovski crystals.

It becomes really quite tedious when you have to get your butt off the comfortable sofa and sit at your worktable every time you want to use the system, even when all you desire is surfing for pleasure or checking out a new game.
Not to worry because furniture makers know just how much their customers enjoy the comforts of soft cushions and feel-great leather at all times. The Athena is a stylish sofa which has a computer into its arm. The plush upholstered sofa may appear to have a minimalistic design but is far from this. The integrated computer is capable of all desired functions and can even connect with multi-room systems to handle all media applications. This is your chance to have your TV, computer and comfort chair all in one package.

Going by the available images, I feel convinced that owning the SofaBox is no less than investing in an asset. Good part is it can be unfolded irrespective of your location, enabling you sit and relax and adore the environs. Priced at $2700, it may seem to be a pricey deal but in contrast with standard stuck-up sofa seating, it is a wise option. Unlike regular sofas that expect you to hold it while sitting over it throughout the day, this one is elite in literal sense. The best part is you can wrap it back in a box if not in a use, hence less chances of dirt.

The yearly Kips Bay Decorator Show House started in New York on 24 April and will run through 22 May. To my utter surprise, around 22 designers would be using this as a platform and are provided with six apartments at The Manhattan House, 200 East 66th Street to participate in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House. For the first time in the history of 36 years, the show is being held in an apartment building rather than a town house. In coming days I would be updating you with designer credits. Tickets for the show would cost you $30.
Some interesting stuff direct from 2008 Kips Bay Decorator Show:

An Audi-design prototype chandelier hangs above a table in the Daniel Boulud kitchen. Also, the artwork of Caceres + Miranda designed by Geoffrey Bradfield is quite interesting. Simon Horn crib, configured here for a toddler, sits on display in a children’s room designed by Bograd Kids. A teak torso of drawers with superimposed silver breeds luxury. The BKH-designed living rooms, modern furniture, including a Vladimir Kagan sofa are amongst the attraction of the Show House.

A Vic Muniz drawing of chef Daniel Boulud hung in a Kitchen designed by Daniel Boulud and Rita-Louisa Garces.
The wavering 60’s chicks room, designed by Ellen Ward Scarborough Ltd. Is mind blowing. Sculpture by Jean Arp (R) features well in a therapist’s room designed by S. Russell Groves. Another elite attraction was chairs designed by Stephen Miller Siegel which have upholstered in horsehair fabric. Lastly, a bedroom suite designed by White Webb is worth a pick.

This post is devoted to car enthusiasts who can utilize the best of this opportunity by giving an automobile touch to their interiors. Elegantly developed and designed by Jake Chop Shop, the jazzy touch changes the customary definition of designer furniture.
This is a height of creativity that has a potential to be functional. Sidelining wood, only used pieces of cars are used to structure the contemporary furniture and accessories.

Dubbed as 1960 Chevy Impala Bed, the face of the pink bed is a replica of the high-end coupe and mars the need for traditional beds. By bringing this style in, the company has forced its customers to put their fingers’ upon it without any second thought.
The bed also offers storage space in engine cubicle, which becomes visible once you open the hood.

The very innovative nature of custom furniture has brought a revolution in the home furnishing and décor industry and would prove to be a blessing for the capable interior designers to architect a beautiful house equipped with such weird but operational furniture.

Adding to the lot, you have a huge variety to pick from viz. sofas, tables and other sundry but essential things. This level of mental comfort doesn’t come cheap and thus demands $4,000 plus.

And here I have another designer bed that shoulders you when are soaked in worries after a pool of guests step in without prior notice. You can’t help but to say wow! To be honest originally it is a sofa that can be twisted into bunk beds. This transformable doc is a comfy sofa with fully detachable covering (takes minutes) and without any strain unfolds into a practical bunk bed. I simply loved its practical beauty. It is possible to convert into a bed via a built-in ladder. It can be bought from Resource Furniture for $5950.
The same company offers an array of space-saving pieces, counting sofas mounted to wall units that conceal pull down beds and desk units, easily converted into warm beds.
