Recession leading to visible drop in chef salaries: While executive chef salaries witnessed a drop of 3.5% (from $77,611 to $74,869); chef/owners had to face bigger decline of 9.7% (from $94,288 to $85,179).

Need Massage: Now a vibrating plastic dog is at your service. Wait till 1 June and spare $15 to avail this service.

Chiller Bin: Designed by Philip Stankard for LG’s refrigerator, the storage compartment understands well the managerial habits of the users and offers enough storage for alcohol bottles in your freezer.

Drinkable Pee: Kudos to designer Leonardo Manavella for thinking to an extent where nature’s call can resolve your crisis. Yes, this prototype has a potential to turn urine into drinkable water.

Etiquette Checker: If bedding with your beloved is becoming scary cause of poor breath and also you doubt the intake of alcohol your darling has had then time to switch on Etiquette Checker from TopMan. It ranks your breath from good to bad (1-6) and alcohol level in 0.5 increments.

Star Trek fans never had it so good. The Star Trek Captain’s Chair is a luxurious replica of the chair the Captain used to wear in the favourite sci-fi series. It comes with a swivel design, controls for light ups, and even sound effects that mimic Star Trek. It has been manufactured with the most expert measurements and most durable materials as well.

All you would need to do is sit on it and ruminate on the good old cherished memories of watching Star Trek as a kid. The Star Trek Captain’s Chair costs $2,717. Unfortunately this product is available only in mainland U.S.A and is not available in Europe or elsewhere.

In my opinion, all sci-fi fans must own this chair as it comes with amazing sound effects that shall keep you enthralled. In any case, Star Trek is quite retro now and that itself makes it an object worth buying and being considered as a luxury product.

Jeff Burnette has been experimenting with hot glass now for almost 30 years. And the featured above Glass Rayguns is the result of his efforts. Jeff, a serious sci-fi fan has developed the designer masterpieces that can be blown. With the transparent shade on the pipe and clear glass gathered on its apex, the piece once blown up takes a different appeal altogether. Once the pieces, blowpipe undergoes a 15-hour cycle of cooling, the next process to be followed is to send it for silvering. The Raygun is a no less than a bubble with a translucent color within. The silvering is the result of the silver nitrate, ammonia, and distilled water assorted and dispensed into the unbolted end of the cannon.

The silver brushwood within the piece looks like a mirror. And at last the machined stainless steel is chemically attached to the piece.
