smart-sleep New Panasonic Bed Is A Great Supporter Of Sleep

Oh, that ever-eluding sleep that we all seek in the times of immense demands and pressures! Several solutions have been provided and the thirst for more hasn’t been quenched yet. Matushita Electric Works has also been quite busy developing its idea for the perfect sleep companion. The bed that this firm has conceptualised assures you the Zzzz at a price of $1,102, 362 Yen (which translates into much fewer dollars).

A Panasonic program controls this unique system automatically. It is very smart as it can understand sleep, lighting, sound and air conditioning, controlling all of these to create the most favorable environment for your nightly rest. So when the user reaches the sleeping moment, the bed knows it by detecting loss of motion. This means that the light, music and the TV gets automatically shut off. The opposite takes place when morning comes in.

toughbook-touchscreen Panasonics $2,550 Toughbook: Beautiful Yet Powerful

The pretty baby performs just great at home, but take her out and she falls flat on all functions. I might as well throw her out and get me a new one. Incidentally, I’m talking about getting me a new laptop that does as well on field as it does in the office.

Panasonic’s Toughbook is intended to score on all the right extremes. Rugged but beautiful, powerful yet light enough, Toughbook is a laptop that will impress you on all counts. Available in two models, Toughbook 52 and Toughbook 74, the laptops have 13.3” touchscreen LCD displays with spill-resistant keyboards and touchpad. ces_2009_-_image_-_b15_610x546 CES 2009: Panasonic Announces Worlds First Portable Blu-ray Player

We all know how cool it is to watch movies on Blu-ray disc. The picture clarity is almost flawless and there is no way you can dispute the advantages of Blu-ray discs. However, there definitely is one drawback, which is about the portability. Most Blu-ray discs can only be played on Home Theater Systems, which are anything but portable. This is where the DVD scores for DVD players are portable and can be carried almost anywhere.

At the CES 2009, Panasonic launched the first portable Blu-ray player ever and it can be used anywhere inside your house. The Panasonic DMP-B15 comes with an 8.9″ screen and a battery backup of 3 hours. It is also Bitstream compatible and comes with an HDMI slot and an SD Card slot as well. It really is a great product but the battery life is really bad.

robo Your Kitchen Help Will Soon Be Here

This would every homemaker’s dream come true.  We just got to know that Panasonic along with Japan’s IRT Reserach Institute are working days and nights to develop an efficient dishwashing robot that they lovingly call KAR (Kitchen Assistant Robot). Wow, and we thought only Mrs. Jetson was the lucky one!!!

The robot in question, apparently has 18 different sensors in its hand that are aimed to help the andriod understand the shape and size of the dishes. Also, the robo picks only one object from a pile of dishes. So far, the prototype has worked pretty well and those associated with the project have no doubts about the success of the product once it reaches the market. Though that will not be until the next five years.

Hitachi

When Sony announced at the IFA that its 40ZX1 LCD TV will now be accompanied by a standard built in wireless HD video technology, it sent a few strong ripples across. Hearing this, many companies were aghast and then there was the expected ‘me-tooing’. Panasonic and Toshiba were two of the few names involved in the follow-up claims. But it is a bit surprising that even after running demos of wireless HD video technology at CEATAC, both the brand names will not be able to bring any products into the market till late next year.

Yet another wireless pusher is Hitachi. It was doing demos on a system based around the Ultra Wideband (UWB) standard operating in the 4.2-4.8 GHz range. Hitachi has just suggested that its wireless HD technology will be a part of a new RGB LED back-lit TV which will have a separate mulitmedia reciever box. The claims have been attractive for sure, but we haven’t heard anything concrete but subtle suggestions.
