The Orbita Avanti 8 cabinet is made from Macassar and Madrona Burl fine wood and consists of 8 different watch winder units. The Madrona Burl version looks much more exotic and expensive, but both units are similar in all ways (except for the wood used) and cost the same. The third row of the cabinet is made in such a way that it can store excess watches and watch accessories. The whole cabinet is fortified with carbon fiber and has a glass front; the hinges come in steel, brass, chrome or gold plated steel. The units are also available as wall hung versions.

From the looks of it, women were very upset about the masculine looking watch winders most luxury timepieces came with. There was a need for a more feminine touch to this useful gadget. And so Orbita, a North Carolina based company, just launched a line of women oriented single watch winders. Yes, in a whole range of colors too!
The fairer sex (and we are not referring to the complexion) will be happy to learn that the Sparta Mini works in a ‘plug and plug’ style, that means you do not have to fiddle with any settings as it rotates once in every 10 minutes. You can pick your fave from crème, red, blue, pink and white, each done up on faux lizard skin on plastic.

With so many high-end timepieces coming up in the market, watch makers are busy contemplating ideas to stand apart from the crowd. Perhaps that is the reason why famed brand Louis Moinet has decided to provide each of their watch with a watch winder. Many of you must be under the impression that this rather obvious tool must be accompanying all the luxury automatic mechanical timepieces, but we are sorry to burst the bubble because most of them do not!
The US-based company Orbita will be making this watch winder which will comes sitting pretty inside a book-shaped case, where the watch too can remain after being wound until the owner decides to wear it. The concept of adding the watch winder is a very useful one because most Luis Moinet timepieces need everyday winding and doing it manually can be very tasking.
