Airlines have gone through a very tough time because of the crisis caused by the economic downturn. The numbers had been affected more on the lower end passengers. But the higher end luxury fliers seemed to be less affected by the crisis. The full fare luxury airlines are also doing their best to make it even better for their first class passengers.
Singapore Airlines which was already appreciated for its first class cabins with the largest seats in the sky has now come up with a deluxe cabin and they have named it the “Singapore Suit.” This newly introduced cabin is more exclusive and more lavish and luxurious than any first class cabin. They are introducing it on all of their A380 aircrafts. The Singapore Suits will have a stand alone bed and not a converted one. The lavish armchair will have hand stitched leather by Italian craftsmen. The suit will have a full length wardrobe, a 23 inch TV along with a large choice of music and movies and gourmet dining with choice of Dom Perignon and Krug.

Naturally, we also believe this will be the next step in eyewear retailing in particular and look forward to bringing this concept to consumers around the world.” Keeping with this idea, the group hopes to open new store is China, Europe, and the United States.

Ritz-Carlton, the luxury hotel chain, is getting into Israel for the first time. They have chosen Herzliya, just north of Tel Aviv to launch their first venture in Israel. The property is located on the Mediterranean Sea. It is being hailed as the first kosher Ritz-Carlton. Since it is their first in the country, the hotel chain has got some of the best talent in the industry to plan, design and execute the project.
The project is being developed by the Tidhar group and Adi’s marina. The total investment planned for the project is in the range of $160 million. Rani Ziss, the architect who worked on the renovation of the Plaza in New York City has designed this new project. Studio Gaia, a New York based interior design fir has been signed on for creating an elegant, comfortable and luxurious seaside retreat.

Cairo, the Egyptian capital boasts of a new luxury hotel Kempinski Nile . It is the first five star boutique hotel to be opened in Cairo by the luxury hotel chain. The city is witnessing some kind of a tourism boom and it bound to benefit the new hotel that is situated on the banks of the famous river.
The new hotel has been designed by the famous architect Pierre Yves Rochon who has been behind the latest renovation of Savoy in London. The new hotel has 136 rooms and 54 suits on offer. The architecture and the design of the hotel has been inspired by the ancient history of Egypt. There are four restaurants one of which does not have a menu and the guests can order whatever they wish to eat. There are four bars as well including a shisha bar.

Urban Hound Daycare will inaugurate its first property in the Bay State eliciting tongue-in-cheek headlines “The Boston hotel industry is going to Dogs.” The hotel industry is definitely doing something for the dogs that the pets will enjoy and the pet owners will appreciate.
A two-storied building measuring a total of 8,500 square feet , located Boston’s South End has been developed for the project. The facilities available in the canine compound include a hospital grade air filtration system, high-tech drainage and flushing system, K-9 grass, Urban Hound training classrooms and luxury sleep suits. Austin Fodell, a student designer has come up with the ultimate luxury vessel. ‘BLACKJACK Superyacht” has been designed and launched with the young and rich celebrities in mind. Austin Fodell, a student of College for Creative Studies in Detroit, who is pursuing a Transportation Design degree is the brain behind the superyacht which can be owned privately or charted by a group of people collectively.
The yacht has 19 luxury cabins including a master suit and two deluxe guest suits. With a length of 268 ft and a width of 65 ft it is a really large vessel that can accommodate 28 guests along with 20 crew members in utmost luxury. In spite of its size the yacht can reach a maximum speed of 20 knots and cruise comfortably at 12 knots.
