It is the height of imitation. The great Chinese copy mechanism has slashed off the iconic Vertu cell phones and has floored them into the market at a price range similar to Nokia. China-based firm Veptu is selling mobile phones Veptu V1, which is a fake replica of the models from Vertu. The models are available with a 18-24 karat gold plated casing and there are also models encrusted with diamonds.

The phone features a 262k color display, 2 Megapixel cameras, GPRS connectivity and a slot for memory card. Priced at $215 to $650, it has an integrated MP3 and MP4 music and video player.
