Dutch automobile company Spyker has been manufacturing awesome cars for almost a century now and their range of sports cars which they have been making for about a decade now are drawn from the experience of these years. Their latest sports car, the C8 Aileron Spyder, seems to be styled after their classic C8 Spyder SWB (short wheel base). The C8 Spyder SWB which was auctioned off at the sports & Classics Monterey auction was designed after the planes that the company made during its short stint with the aviation industry.

The car has a 400hp 4.2lt V8 engine and can go 0 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds last night. The Spyders start at $200,000 and are usually styled in steampunk fashion. Most of the models offer customised interiors and even come with Louis Vuitton Luggage so you travel completely in style. How can you say no to that?!

BMW has just launched the 5 Series Gran Turismo which comes with a coupe-like silhouete and luxurious interiors. However it also comes with the functionality of 5 Series Touring. This is the 19th distinct model to be offered by BMW and comes with an enhancable boot space of 440 litres to 1,700 litres.

The 5 Series GT will go on sale in Europe in October. What strikes me most is the way the car has been deisgned: the style, the penache, the useability, and of course the great design. Surprisingly, it has been fitted with a solar power roof which would help save energy and save environment. This is very important in times of global warming when most of the pollution is caused by cars and emissions.

All you would need to do is spend 1,450 Pounds and you could convert your Toyota Prius into a solar powered efficient car that would not only look good but would also be an environment saver. I would say, it would have bee only good if all the luxury cars come with solar panels on the top of their roofs.

Koenigsegg has come up with a luxurious four seater super car and the vehicle was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The supercar is aptly named Quant and reeks of luxury, snobbery and wealth. Koenigsegg has teamed up with NLV Solar AG to manufacture this truly amazing car which comes with photovoltaic technology.

It will run on a pair of electric motor and a cool Lithium-Ion Battery Pack. The solar collection system will be able to reach up to 350 miles. The Quant will come with modern luxuries such as Bluetooth, iPod, and even a touch screen located just near the dash. Though it is still a prototype, the working model will be unveiled sometime soon this year.

Many people have already been excited about this car for it not only comes with energy efficiency and clean fuel, but is also powerful and luxurious. I would say, just wait for the car to be released so that you would not regret buying something lowly when compared to this beautiful thing.
