If the giant pixilated countdown lamp in Madonna’s ‘4 minutes’ caught your fancy in anyway, then there is some good news that very soon you could own that voguish lamp, only the smaller version. Hungarian designer Istvan Kulinyi has invented this lamp which would glamorize your room and would change the ambience of your room.

This lamp has three colors viz, red, white and black, each color covering up one side of a prism. This lamp is made of a myriad of such prisms, which can be adjusted to get any desired luminous shape on the lamp or any color of light. As each prism represents a pixel so it is known as Pixel Lamp.

As the panels can be rotated this light can emit desired color (of the three options available) according to your mood. If you are in a mood for a house party, mix-and-match all the colors, it will turn your house into a discotheque.

Though this lamp is not for sale now, but access to things like this never remains limited to a single person! It should be out in the market soon, if not the original piece but some cheap mock up would surely surface!

We think this one makes complete sense when you seel ambient lighting. How  about keeping one in your kid’s room? It will keep him/her cosy with a reassuring visibility. I have a perfectly good flashlight somewhere in one of my cabinets- not only have I never used it; I have never found it at the right time. Right when I need it, I fumble around, hit my big toe on the side of the couch and give up- needing a band aid more than the flashlight at the end of it all! The last time I did find my flashlight, it was not working from lack of usage!

So, the Antrepo Design Industry thought of making use of this newly acquired bare necessity of our modern day lives and transform it into an object of awe and admiration.

We fell in love with the Spoticam for its robotic simplicity as it lights up your hallway or study (it can be fitted anywhere you like). It is a wonderful combination of a desk lamp and a security camera. The adjustable arm that it comes with enables it to be used  both on your table as well as on the wall. Also, there are two color option to choose from – pure white and white  aluminum; though it will be some time before it actually is available for sale. We think you all wil agree that the classiest of things are the most simple. While most luxe brands these days try to sell high-end stuff basing on their complexities here is designer Christopher Moulder who has developed the simple lamp, which we think has been quite overworked until now. The lamp that he has created has several bulbs lining the edge. And the creativity does not end there. In fact, the lamp shade also has the ability to conduct electricity. In other words, you do not need any wires as the shade functions as both a lamp and a socket.

Moulder calls his creation SHADE and believes that it can bring new life to an iconic form, giving your decor a very elegantly formal appearance. As for the technicalities, this lamp is a low voltage fixture. It has been made in aircraft aluminum, that means it can conduct electricity to 28, 12V/10W high efficiency, long life and high color Xenon Festoon bulbs.
