Talk of modern interiors, and perhaps TM Italia may take the cake. With their latest offering the talented group has once again set the benchmark even higher up. You would say the same when you see Petra and the Mondrian kitchens by TM Italia. This range is a show-stealer right from being exclusive with the customization option. Agreed, each contemporary kitchen style is distincted by similar block-like forms that intrigue and impose. But let me tell you that the inspiration for each pattern comes from a different ideation well. For instance, the stone-structured Petra is inspired by the power of nature, while the corian-finished Mondrian by Cubist Art.
The strongest point of the range is their minimalistic approach. One can’t help but feel impressed by the perfectly smooth exterior that easily hides away the kitchen essentials when they are not in use. And when you wish to work in the kitchen, simply use the remote control to move the work tops and covers that will reveal functional areas just for you.

Since ‘40s, Germany-based industrial designer Luigi Colani was engaged in giving a revolutionary meaning to future by offering a curved, streamlined appeal to sedans and trucks, kitchens, spacecraft, furniture, and any sundry thing that he had dreamt of. You may call him a designer, but the title that befits him well is that of a “3-D philosopher,” the one coined by him. Sticking to the concept of round shape of earth and heavenly bodies, Colani wishes to follow Galileo Galilei’s philosophy and declares: “My world is also round.”
And featured above is Luigi Colani himself in his “satellite kitchen,” that was designed in 1969.

Seemingly weird, every appliance in the fully-occupied kitchenette can easily be attained by anyone sitting at the orb’s center.

Colani considers his concepts as no mere proposals, but rather responses to questions that design proposes.
