The Wright Auction House in Chicago will be a busy one on October 6 as it will make the best of efforts to remind potential buyers of a certain period in the 90s that they loved so much. And the same is symbolified by Philippe Starck’s creations that were custom tailored for Ian Schrager for the Paramount and Royalton boutique hotels in Manhattan. Let us remind you that when these were unveiled almost a decade ago, everybody’s jaws droppped because nothing of this kind was ever witnessed before.
The good news is that some of the very same and very original furniture by Starck will be auctioned off. Buyers will agree that the avant-garde designs by the man available in the markets today are tamed, which is just why the auction is a great way to capture the artists’s wild creativity from this early days.

It’s time for a lot of big birthday parties happening. It is the spectacularly luxurious Ritz-Carlton San Francisco that we are talking about. This one has seen some glorious 100 years as the city’s only Mobil Five Star with an AAA-Diamond hotel credit which was originally built in 1909. Now, that’s a pretty long time indeed for a hotel of this stature to age so elegantly. Done meticulously in neo-classical architecture, the Ritz-Carlton has close to 335 guest rooms, 60 suites and two presidential suites. And let us tell you that the Club Deluxe rooms can cost anywhere between $450-$760 depending on the tourist season. And the two presidential Ritz Carlton suits spread across 2000 sq ft and feature a piano, dining room with a kitchenette, parquet floors, personal wine cellar, espresso machine and a separate shower. One of these falls in $5K-$9K price range.

Billy Butlin was among the first few to have given a thought to an all-inclusive family holiday, and now the vision is being realized with the grand, seven-story Ocean Hotel that boasts of 200 extra comfy rooms. Constructed at the existing Butlins resort in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, this one has all the added spunk of a modern day luxury hotel complete with he fancy lifts, disco music and some spectacular lighting systems, especially the one under-bed ones for kids.
And that’s not the only highlight. The luxury resort proudly presents a 670-square meter spa that integrates a snow cave complete with artificial snow farms as well. The total worth of the hotel is £20m. So you can be quite sure to get a royal treatment with the various relaxation pods and treatment rooms with lasers as well as the tummypod that lets expecting mother treat they unborn babies to some classical music.

JW Marriott Camelback Inn Luxury Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ is celebrates 20 successful and popular years of its famous spa with some value-driven offers. This might be the latest addition to your list of ‘Why should I visit Scotland’. We are referring to the Scottish Baronial mansion situated on the shores of Loch Rannoch in Perthshire which is being renovated to its old splendour. The task has been taken up by Dall Estate and M James Developments.
A little research told us that this historical structure was created in 1855 and it will soon be transformed into a 104-suite hotel across all 7 stories surrounded by 18-hole golf courses. Among the many modern luxury amenities the Scottish Baronial mansion will also house a health spa, a body enhancement clinic and some spots of leisure which include lochside restaurants and a concert hall.

The name Disney will now be known for things other than the vivacious colors and the loud celebrations, thanks to the inception of the Disney Vacation Club. As part of the new endeavour, the famous brand is now offering the Treehouse Villas at its Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. We hear that it is the perfect holidaying place with a kiss of luxury as it revives the treehouse living concept.
Each and every treehouse villa has been constructed so to look like a giant 3-D puzzle. The new resort includes 60 three-bedroom homes that go as high as 10 feet off the ground with the help of pedestals and beams. But that’s just on the outside as the interior flaunts all modern aminities like the cathedral ceilings, granite countertops, a barbecue grill complete with the flat TV to keep you entertained. Each villa is large enough to accommodate nine people.

Now, this will surely be an attraction for tavellers to the pyramids. Mirage and New Giza for Real Estate Development have together decided to construct the MGM Grand New Giza on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. New Giza will provide the equity funding while Mirage shall take care of the management oart and the branding.
We hear there will be 550 rooms in the prospective MGM Grand each offering spectacular views of the city of Cairo as well as the pyramids of Giza. The hotel shall be connected via an electric train to the Egyptian antiquties musem that is currently under construction.

Mardan Palace looks like a dream and costs like one too. Touted as the most expensive hotel in Europe, this one serves a glass of champagne for £25. The decor is spectacular to say the least. Bathrooms have gold plated mirrors on the floor, toilets are remote controlled and the gorgeous private beach has been created from white sand imported from Egypt. By the way, it took 9,000 tons to fill up the area.
The inaugural party was held at the 800 million pounds worth luxury resort in Antalya, Turkey that had an opening party attended by the likes of Richard Gere, Sharon Stone and Mariah Carey. We even heard that Paris Hilton might have made a fleeting appearance. In other words, luxury resorts are always a hit with the Richie Richs.

If only looking at the Eiffel Tower could be more romantic. We only thought this was rather impossibility until we lay our eyes on the pics of the new boutique hotel that has come up in Paris. Called The Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan, this new abode for travelers is as spectacular as its name.
The new hotel boasts of ten suites, five out of them offer clear views of the spectacular Eiffel Tower in all its rich historical glory. But the room that gives the best view of the structure, as seen above, goes by the name of Eiffel Suit. There are 48 rooms too for those who like to spend their money a wee bit carefully.
