Furniture comes in all kinds of shapes and styles. It comes with whacky material thinking too.
Stephane Perruchon has used such thinking and gone ahead to design a coffee table inspired by a playstation, the base of which is made up of two huge PS3 controllers. The table is complete with two handles made of ABS and also decorated with the buttons. And is sure to remind you of those countless hours you spent with the joystick and indulged in some virtual fantasy.
It is available only in black and white versions, so go ahead and design your room décor around it. The table may be worth the effort for all you know. He sure must have been a gaming enthusiast himself at some point.
Call that a geeky table if you want. But the thoughtfully designed piece can enliven your room with a super cool feel. Or still better, make it look like a dorm room. For, while the table is delicately stylish, it is very sturdy too.
Stephane Perruchon had earlier designed hanging the design cool Babylon fireplaces which were great.

With home spaces shrinking in size and space getting more and more expensive, optimum utility of available space is something most product makers strive for. And this idea transcends to the all important kitchen spaces too. It is why you get words like compact, kitchenette, kitchen-cum-dining, modular, thrown at you in plenty by the day.
In this respect, a compact kitchen idea by Italian company Jcorradi is somewhat like your dream-kitchen-come-true. True to its name, it looks compact and cute.
It has integrated into its condensed design, a host of features – a stove, an oven, prep area, storage, and even a kitchen sink, all in one. Call that innovation with some space intelligence! Besides, each of these elements you can custom-fit to suit your modern home. The kitchen top is quartz agglomerated. Read the full story »

Daniel Radcliffe sure has the best of both worlds – the magic one as well as the one that we all live in. This piece is about the latter. News is that the Harry Potter superstar has just emerged as a pretty serious player on the Big Apple property market. Well for starters he has just bought his third asset in NY that is worth £4 million. Quite a match for HP co-star Rupert Grint who bought his fourth home recently, this house has quite an enviable layout.
Spread across a sprawling 3,000 sq. ft, the new house has five lavish bedroom spaces with a 39ft long garden. We are told that this house was built by a sea captan in 1847 for his daughter. So, once can expect a lot of old world charm in this abode.

If you are one of those who can never get enough of golf, we have just the thing for you to be installed at home or even at your office to take off the pressure. The Video Arcade Miniature Golf Game is available at the house of Hammacher Schlemmer. And this entertainment machine has been designed to offer you the ultimate experience in miniature golf.
Sized just as the regular gaming machines found in arcade parlors, this one makes use of real golf putters and balls. The courses and obstacles are displayed virtually on a 32-inch vertical LCD display. This means that four competitors (yes, you and three of your closest buddies) can enjoy a game on two virtual courses – Las Vegas course (casino theme) and the Paradise Island course (tiki torch theme).

Famous celeb couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have lately been in news for everything but their music. This time it is their new home (among many others). In April, they were seen checking out the Icon Brickell in Miami and now they have confirmed to People Magazine that they have finally purchased the “sexiest place in town”. And both the husband and wife are very kicked about decorating this new place of theirs.
It is a three-tower condominium that has been designed by the very talented Phillipe Starck in a complex that even includes the Viceroy Miami Hotel. A very bright spot indeed, this one comes with all building amenities like multiple pools, a spa and fitness center. One can also enjoy the five restaurants, rooftop pool club, concierge and valet services.

The mankind has always been fascinated by the future whether it’s been philosophers, writers and scientists, of course. Sci-fi fans intend to take it to an all new level altogether. Retro-futurism is the form that is the current favorite with both geeks and connoisseurs. And if you have the moolah (apart from the zest, of course) then you must definitely check out the Shipwrecked Submarine Home Theater.
A fascinating concept, this one is really the play room of Wayne Eyre (no relation of the famous Jane Eyre) who went on to spend a huge $100,000 on this submarine complete with plutonium-leaking torpedos.

You might not remember the brand studioMOM but if we take the name Coffee Pad Machine, it will definitely bring back memories of a very stylish home appliance that was released way back in 2007 but continues to be a part and parcel of our break times even today. Its manufacturer is Inventum and hails from Dutchland. And now, it has introduced an updated model of the same at the prestigious IFA Berlin. The new version goes by the name of Coffeepadmachine “HK20″.
And this one is packed with a lot of spunk. Illuminated with an LCD display, this coffee maker is as stylish as it could get. Other fuctions include a digital taste selector as well as a rather rare coffee brewing system that works at the perfect temperature for that perfect taste.

Do you wanna know the latest trend in the luxury market today? Well, there is an increasing demand for combo home furnishings if the items for sale are anything to go by. Looks like the discerning shopper wants dollops of both — multi-functionality as well as the glam of owning a superior product. Take the new TV mirror combo from Fendi Casa Collection for instance.
We do know that it is not the first time Fendi Casa has developed a furniture integrated with technological solutions. The mirror in reference works as a regular one as long as the power has been switched off. Turn it on and you can see the 42″ LCD TV LOEWE reveal itself.

Now is not really the time to talk about fireplaces except for those in the extremely cold regions. But still the magic of the Wodtke Fire SL is such that we just could not stop ourselves. This one is sleek spread across to a ratio of 16:9 widescreen and is just too perfect for any modern home. A glass ceramic decorative panel framed the fireplace. You do have the option of choosing either a black of beige one.
The firebox is founded on a rotating base that connects to a central air supply. This allows you to enjoy different viewing angles from almost anywhere in the room.
