There is something really cool about robot and maybe that is because of the influence of movies and pop culture which have always been fascinated by all things that are rooted in science fiction. While robots are no more science fiction and a part of reality, Croatian artist Robert Matysiak has designed these cool Robot Lamps using just plumbing supplies.

The lamps are nuiquely designed and come in many different shapes and sizes. Each of these robots that are made from pipes etc, come with bulbs and they make it look rather avant-garde. The plumbing hardware are rigid and quite unchangeable but the Croatian designer has made sure each Robot Lamp has a character of its own.

It is a great way to teach your children that robots were once a part of fictitious world and only now have they entered everyday lives. I would love to get these Robot Lamps myself, and it would really look good in your living room or anywhere else. In fact, if you are a video game fan, you would love these lamps as they would certainly set the ambience for playing video games based on science fiction plots.

There is something really annoying about having to get up and check the time every time you are sleeping, lest you got late. It not only is physically troublesome but you would also be afraid that if you didn’t check the time, you would end up getting screwed at your appointments. Realising this problem Florian Schärfer has designed the Melted Clock which lets you grope around the bed in your sleepy state and get the time.

All you would need to do is, find the haptic, touch sensitive alarm clock which comes integrated with speakers and the controls would be integrated in your sheets. The clock would be embedded into your bed and thus you would just need to move your hands here and there to find it and like you are reading Braille, you would just get to know what the time is.

There is no information yet about the price and availability as it is still a concept. However, it would be amazing if some bedding company realizes this need and demand in the market and launches something cool as this. Moreover, your bed would look cool and chic and it would turn your bedroom into a post modern living space.

The Emotion Lab are a group of designers from 3 different continents and 3 different countries: from Mexico, Spain and Australia. They design concepts that seek to provoke emotions and that which are influenced by diverse cultures around the world. Such a stand always commits to the relevance of the design and that is perhaps what makes them really cool.

Their latest offering is the Room Cone which is part of their Inside Urban Collection. It is inspired by the witches’ hats, which communicate with [people around them. These “witches’ hats” tell people to move away, to not step somewhere and to be careful. Sweating with urban energy, the Room Cone can be used an ambient light source and can be installed outdoors or indoors.

It works even in windy conditions and you could use it to hold parties around it. It looks good in the garden, if you asked me and you could talk about how you managed to not step into the manhole thanks to one of those good ol’ Witch Hats. As a new month begins, we may expect to see new products being unveiled. Most importantly, November is the month when the temperature begins to plummet and the frost begins to appear on the windows. This is perhaps why we would see a number of BBQ parties happening all along the neighbourhood.

The air not only smells of fresh snow and frozen leaves, but also of sizzlers, steaks and roasted meat. With that in mind, here is a BBQ pit which comes inside a Ford truck. It apparently costs $15,000 but there is no information about specs. It kinda looks good, and if you are trying to make a statement as an old hillbilly who stays in a truck, you could get this for yourself at 15k.

While I see nothing special about this Ford Truck with BBQ pit, I would still recommend this as it has a strange appeal to it. Perhaps it is the idea of cooking inside a truck, and that too in a Ford truck which makes the idea seem so appealing. So go ahead and get yourself this cool BBQ machine, if you have pockets deep enough. Meanwhile, I shall be content with my normal BBQ grills.
