What do Leica and Hermes have in common? Great photography delivered in style, of course! The rumours of a Leica M7 Hermes edition had been around for some time and it turns out that they are all true. Leica UK has announced the release of the Leica M7 Hermes Edition and the images of the camera that have been doing the round are of the real thing as well.

It had earlier been reported that only 100 units of the uber luxe limited edition camera would be made but the latest reports and the official statement by Leica comes with the good news that 200 units of the camera would be made available. Designed after the Leica M7 model, the Leica M7 Hermes limited edition will include certain features not included in the previous model. This luxury model features metal finish back finished with silver chrome and have AUTO and flash settings matching the camera’s leather. Two colour models are available, one in green and the other in a vivid psychedelic orange.

The Leica MP Edition Hermes that was launched a few years ago had created a great much enthusiasm a few years ago and this second tie up between Hermes and Leica will certainly not disappoint avid fans of photography. Get yourself the new Leica M7 Hermes limited edition for $14,265 the moment it hits the stores!

The firms displayed a real size model of the 125 sq ft wide vessel in Ancona, Italy, recently.

Its width is two thirds its length of 190 ft. So it looks like a yacht chipped off on its latter half.

Its back has a 30 metre beach! Naval architect Mauro Sculii feels its strange dimensions give it stability. WHY is built on three decks, has a swimming pool on the bow, and a helipad.

A salon with a cinema, a music room, a library and a dining room that opens on to the sea apart, its owner will have a 200-square-metre suite covering all of third floor and a private terrace. It can house 12 guests in five suites, 20 member crew, has three large sky lights and 300 square metres of windows.

For the eco-conscious, it will also have a low consumption LED lighting system and solar panels on its roof and sides to cut fuel, and an in-built waste management system.

Here is yet another yacht for you to drool over. The famous Monaco-based yacht maker Wally has joined hand with lucury brand Hermes to create a very fine dream boat by the name of WHY Wally-Hermes Yacht. A rare of exclusivity defines this splendid design. The most latest of all revolutionary technologies have been used to make wthis 38-meter wide yacht that takes the WallyIsland concept a step further. The dramatic sillhouette is spectacular.

Interestingly, the triangular hull has been shaped so that it doesnt have a superstructure and none seems to be complaining. The interiors reveal a water resistant buffalo leather lining across the three decks as well as a 25-meter interior swimming pool alongside a 36-meter artificial beach.

WHY is also very eco-friendly. A diesel engine powers this yacht with a surface of photovoltaic panels that stretch out to 900 square meters across the roof and sides of the vessel. Already tested in Gothenberg, Sweden the yahct is waiting to be tested in the big seas.

Hermes has done a very smart job with the new follow up to the Arceau Chronograph range. Called Ebony this watch really is a sibling of the Arceau chronograph Alezan that was announced at Baselworld but in a different color, we mean symbolically so!

This timepiece too is has been dedicated to the Hermes equestrian heritage. The lines are still smooth and refined. The Arceau Ebony Chronograph is black all over, including the strap. The 43mm wide steel watch case provides relief while the red dials offer lethal attraction in the stark contrast. The rings around the dials lend a sense of depth. We like the clean and simple face of the watch. The faceted window cut for the date window is a very intelligent idea.

A Swiss ETA 2894 powers the watch which has nothing extravagant about it. It spells sheer class! The strap is made from high grade calf leather with contrast stitching. It will be some time before this watch hits the exclusive Hermes stores. Start saving up then.

The desire to own brisk modes of transportation is on every rich person’s list. And we are not just taking super cars here. In fact, if you are in Japan you might just see one of these speeding off in the skies thanks to the efforts of the Japanese Mori Building Co. Yes, if rumors are to be believed, then you can get to Narita airport from downtown Tokyo in a matter of just 30 minutes if you hire a Hermes helicopter.

The service will be run between a rooftop in the central district of Akasaka and Narita International Airport, which are 44 miles apart and would require an hour and a half of car travel. We are told that the helicopter ride will not just save time but will also allow the passengers the luxury of looking down the splendor of Tokyo while sitting in comfy seats made from rich-brown calf leather.

The chopper, we are told, has been painted in white with orange ribbons on the sides. It will carry four passengers in each flight, some 22 times every day. The service starts from September 16 and will cost $790 for a one-way ride. But hey, that’s minus the food or drink services.

Swiss watch maker Hermes has previously impressed with its variety of creations right from the Travel Alarm Clock to the Bluetooth Headset. And now the brand has designed the Hermes Alligator Table Clock to showcase at the forthcoming Only Watch 2009 event. As we told you before, this is a special even which is held every two years as part of the Monaco Yacht Show under the patronage of HSH Prince ALbert II.

And this time around, some 35 high end watches have enrolled in for the auction. We are told that all benefits will got to support the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Coming back to the clock, this one is made in stainless steel but is covered with 12 layers  of red Hermes leather, all of which have been stitched in hand with the aid of natural white linen thread. The measurements are 175mm H x 150mm W x 37mm T.

As far as the technicalities go, the clock is based on a SWiss movements that allows an 8 day power reserve of caliber 51 which function together with 15 jewels that beat at 18,000bph. The clock is kept in a red lacquered traveling case which has a plaque reading ‘Only Watc 2009′.

If you thought you look totally awesome in your skinny hipster jeans, well you are wrong. The trend seems to be dying off and most people these days have begun to go for that eased look, which comes with jeans that are not skinny. In the Paris Men’s Week, Dior Homme, Lanvin, Hermès, Paul Smith and other big names in the men’s couture did not reveal any jeans or trousers that even bordered close to being skinny or tight.

The tight jeans, kohl fudged, spike haired look seems to be dying and a relaxed 90s look seems to be back. This could be a fallout from the recession as most guys do not care about fashion anymore now that they cannot afford much on fashion.

Vintage timepieces can never go out of fashion. And coming from Jaeger Lecoultre with the Hermes stamp, you can well expect the bomb this travel alarm clock would be. We hear that this gorgeous piece was sold and signed by French retailer Hermes making it a true Vintage Hermes other than being a Vintage Jaeger Lecoultre, of course.

The alarm clock comes with a JLC movement that manually wound. The mechanism also has the capacity of a 8-day power reserve which is marked bu the circled ‘8′ above 6 o’clock.

The alarm is a pop-up one and has been made in stainless steel. The exterior of the clock is  covered in Bordeaux leather with a unique ability to be folded up so that its face is covered when you are travelling. Also, the  original movement of the watch was recently overhauled, so the consumers need not worry about its smooth functioning. The price tag reads $1,050. We know you’d point out that a little while ago we wrote saying that Hermes is down and out as far as the watch sales go, but let’s not forget thatVintage is always a hot buy.
