Hermes is no stranger to luxury and they are the ones who actually rule the luxury industry. A Hermes name could do a lot of wonder to the product, and it can just convert the usual product into a luxury product. This time around, the haute company has hooked up with Monte Carlo based Wally Yachts in order to launch the WHY (Wally Hermes Yachts).

The first WHY is going to be a multi story 58 metre long 38 metre wide floating resort. It would come with almost an acre of floor space. With sleek looks and exquisite design, you could be pretty sure that things will certainly look good when you make the down payment.

Of course, it is not clear if the WHY would be available right away, but if we look at the things as they are, they just might be available soon. I would love to buy it for myself but of course if I could, I would not be writing luxury posts, but instead would be sailing one of those luxury yachts myself! Imagine a sun kissed cruise on the Caribbean atop this luxury boat, and wouldn’t that be the ultimate statement of affluence?

Hermès has certainly learned to stay in vogue. The new collection of wristwatches launched by The Hermès will satisfy every man’s fantasy to wear bright colors. This design not only retains the classic ‘clipper’ but also blends the funky colors with the classic chic.

The watch comes with a sturdy metal timepiece which is connected to the jazzy wrist bands. I might have exaggerated the colored wrist bands (in case), but you don’t need to worry as the colors perfectly compliment the metal in the watch. It has a 44mm titanium case and a Valjoux 7750 movement which takes accuracy to whole new level.The tiny tots on the hands of the watch and the cast iron colored dial jibe with each other. 
 
If you become a fan of this collection then there is more for you, it will launch four other models, namely, a 39.5mm automatic, 36mm chrono, 26mm and 28mm quartz, soon. These watches will range between a modest $5,000 and a somewhat modest $10,000.

Owning to its flashy yet stylish colors and the waterproof frame, these funky wrist-band type watches can be sported while playing an outdoor game near the sea or  while taking a casual stroll by the beach.

How would you like to have an island of your own? I know it is a crazy and pompous idea, but many celebrities and bigwigs already have their own islands. However, it is difficult to maintain these islands and moreover they are stationary, which means once you buy an island, you are pretty much stuck to it.

Thus, Wally and Hermès have come up with the idea of creating a yacht that is almost a island with all the features and yet comes with the convenience of mobility that yachts are supposed to come with. The Wally Hermès WHY Yacht is an amazing concept which shall soon be turned into reality. It would come with a 200 square meter master suit and many other features.

They include a screening room, music room, open dining room,25m pool around the helipad, green features, 25 meter-wide terrace, five guest suites, a 30 meter “beach” on the ocean-accessible stern, and many green features as well. The highlight of the yacht is the 900 square meters of solar panels, and a diesel-electric propulsion system which help you save more than 200 tons of diesel in a year. The price is yet to be announced, but expect it to be in millions.

Snoopy has been a constant companion with all of us since his birth many decades ago. Believe it or not, but the naughty pooch will be turning 60 next year. And typical to his character, he will do so with a lot of panache and glam. And helping him do that are global fashion brands like Chanel, Hermes, Balenciaga DVF, Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and Chloé. These were the paticipating members of the Japan Fashion Week which rand in Tokyo Midtown in the month of October. The event which was co-sponsored by the Design Association NPO, United Media, K.K. garnered a lot of interest.

Well, Snoopy was an integral part of the exhibition (and we are not surprised to learn that) and so the designer brands thought he deserved a special treat.
By the way, Snoopy is a huge hit in the one of the fashion districts of the world (of course, we mean Tokyo). In fact, 2004 had a grand Snoopy Fahsion Show in Japan that had the cartoon wearing Chanel and others. So, we just though of preparing you for the grand birthday party next year!

What do Leica and Hermes have in common? Great photography delivered in style, of course! The rumours of a Leica M7 Hermes edition had been around for some time and it turns out that they are all true. Leica UK has announced the release of the Leica M7 Hermes Edition and the images of the camera that have been doing the round are of the real thing as well.

It had earlier been reported that only 100 units of the uber luxe limited edition camera would be made but the latest reports and the official statement by Leica comes with the good news that 200 units of the camera would be made available. Designed after the Leica M7 model, the Leica M7 Hermes limited edition will include certain features not included in the previous model. This luxury model features metal finish back finished with silver chrome and have AUTO and flash settings matching the camera’s leather. Two colour models are available, one in green and the other in a vivid psychedelic orange.

The Leica MP Edition Hermes that was launched a few years ago had created a great much enthusiasm a few years ago and this second tie up between Hermes and Leica will certainly not disappoint avid fans of photography. The firms displayed a real size model of the 125 sq ft wide vessel in Ancona, Italy, recently.

Its width is two thirds its length of 190 ft. So it looks like a yacht chipped off on its latter half.

Its back has a 30 metre beach! Naval architect Mauro Sculii feels its strange dimensions give it stability. WHY is built on three decks, has a swimming pool on the bow, and a helipad.

A salon with a cinema, a music room, a library and a dining room that opens on to the sea apart, its owner will have a 200-square-metre suite covering all of third floor and a private terrace. It can house 12 guests in five suites, 20 member crew, has three large sky lights and 300 square metres of windows.

For the eco-conscious, it will also have a low consumption LED lighting system and solar panels on its roof and sides to cut fuel, and an in-built waste management system.

Hermes has previously helped design a luxury helicopter and a collection of smart cars.

Here is yet another yacht for you to drool over. The famous Monaco-based yacht maker Wally has joined hand with lucury brand Hermes to create a very fine dream boat by the name of WHY Wally-Hermes Yacht. A rare of exclusivity defines this splendid design. The most latest of all revolutionary technologies have been used to make wthis 38-meter wide yacht that takes the WallyIsland concept a step further. The dramatic sillhouette is spectacular.

Interestingly, the triangular hull has been shaped so that it doesnt have a superstructure and none seems to be complaining. The interiors reveal a water resistant buffalo leather lining across the three decks as well as a 25-meter interior swimming pool alongside a 36-meter artificial beach.

WHY is also very eco-friendly. A diesel engine powers this yacht with a surface of photovoltaic panels that stretch out to 900 square meters across the roof and sides of the vessel. Already tested in Gothenberg, Sweden the yahct is waiting to be tested in the big seas.

Hermes has done a very smart job with the new follow up to the Arceau Chronograph range. Called Ebony this watch really is a sibling of the Arceau chronograph Alezan that was announced at Baselworld but in a different color, we mean symbolically so!

This timepiece too is has been dedicated to the Hermes equestrian heritage. The lines are still smooth and refined. The Arceau Ebony Chronograph is black all over, including the strap. The 43mm wide steel watch case provides relief while the red dials offer lethal attraction in the stark contrast. The rings around the dials lend a sense of depth. We like the clean and simple face of the watch. The faceted window cut for the date window is a very intelligent idea.

A Swiss ETA 2894 powers the watch which has nothing extravagant about it. It spells sheer class! The strap is made from high grade calf leather with contrast stitching. It will be some time before this watch hits the exclusive Hermes stores. Start saving up then.
