Guitars have been the symbol of our western cultures. Most eastern cultures borrowed many things from the west, and they have been doing well thanks to the borrowing. One of them is also the guitar, which is one of the traditional instruments of Europe. With that in mind, the guitar has travelled a long way not just in terms of space and distance, but also through time.
From being a humble instrument which was looked down upon by classical composers, it has now become the universal instrument of music. If you do not have a great guitar, you might as well go and start living under a rock. You also have the choice of making up to the offence of not purchasing a guitar and start learning how to play it by buying this impressive Gibson’s Buckethead Signature Les Paul.

It was in the middle of the big guitar rage (yep, we are referring to the 70s)Bob Taylor and his friends set out to set a new benchmark with the foundation of Taylor Guitars. And this year, their little venture is 35 years old and looks back to a glorious history of music, creativity and popularity. To mark this occasion, they have decided to make a limited edition anniversary model as well as premium versions of existing models.
The launch of the first series will see the solid body XXXV-SB-K (koa), solid body VVVV-SB-QM (quilted maple), the semi-hollow body XXXV-T3-C (cocobolo) and the semi-hollow body (XXXV-T3-K (koa) stealing the show.

Today we are going to talk about a dream roadster. Called the Voxmobile, it was designed and built by George Barris along the lines of the Bed Buggy, Munster Rod and Batmobile which by the way were made by the same man around the same time. We are told that the main car in reference here was designed as a promotional gimmick along with all the design razzmatazz of working amps, keyboards and guitar racks for the VOX prodcuts. In fact, from what we hear the car was even supposed to co-star with Jack Nicholson in the film Psych-Out but the deal did not work out.
The Voxmobile is based on a street rail with a leading arm solid axle front and cut ford 9″ rear-end. There is a 289 Cobra motor that pumps up the jam to 275 bhp. No wonder, the car can reach 175 mph.

This celeb is up for a musical cause. We are talking about Billy Gibbons who has decided to team up with Gibson Guitars to once again create the sacred Pearly Gates, which, by the way, is a rare 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar that makes music lover go weak in the knees.
So far only three models across 350 units are being made, each imitating every minute detail of the legendary instrument. And 250 from these will get the signature Gibson Custom’s patented V.O.S. finish. Another 50 will be aged to look exactly like the original Pearly Gates while te remaining 50 will be signed and played by Gibbons himself. Indeed, quite a treat has been planned for music lover.

When you play a guitar you need an inspiration- it can be the person you love or some one who you really admire. Would it be such a far fetched idea if the ancient Indian theory of love- Kamasutra comes to inspire you every time you play. Not a far fetched idea if you aske me, because now you can have The Kama Sutra guitar- that has beautiful illustrations from Kamasutra all hand-painted using an equally romantic natural paint- henna. These exotic brown illustrations are drawn on natural blonde Ash woodgrain.
It would be all the more exciting if you paint your hands with this natural tattoo- henna and play in any concert. You are sure to steal the show!

The guitar burnt by Jimi Hendrix is likely to turn into the most expensive guitar ever sold at auction. This is the very instrument that Hendrix set fire to at the London Astoria in 1967 and is anticipated to fetch around £500,000. Jimi is known for setting fire to guitars almost three times in London.
