Carl F. Bucherer is one of the most important watchmakers of the present generation. He has just created a masterpiece called the Alacria Royal which almost looks like a royal piece of jewellery. The watch can be worn by ladies and is opulent enough to make a princess carve for it.
It comes studded with precious stones like diamonds, blue and orange-colored sapphires, rubies and emeralds. Though Carl has used Indian themes on these watches as he claims, one must admit that they do look good. It is an interesting point to make that in India colours have significance but most people lack a good sense of fashion in that country.

If you have noticed, we have always been a little partial towards neutral glam. And that is precisely why we are proud to bring the Lamé Shoulder Bag to you. Available in the market under the brandname Chloé, this one is a delight to look at and even more if owned. The dull golden colors impress with their simple elegance.
The design complements the low bling factor of the purse which really is a strong point, if you ask us. The fold over pattern is pleasing to the eyes and also very convenient for the user. There is a rather delicate gold-tone double chain shoulder strap too while a smart turnlock enclosure with the embossed logo sits on the front flap.

Vietnam perhaps is not all about post-communist boredom and post war melancholy. The country is teeming with luxury goods and consumers who lap it all up. Here is a $117,000 wedding gown that simply blows your mind away and it comes from Vietnam. It has designed by Huy Vo and is called “Bach ngoc xiem y”.
It has 22 big rubies and 8 big diamonds and it took almost 40 days to complete this unique gown. The first runner up of Miss Vietnam 2008 will wear this on the 30th of June, that is today. It has also been given the certificate for being the most expensive gown in Vietnam. It would be interesting to see if other designers would like to compete with this gown.

A few days ago we told your about the designer cup cakes, and now we have some glamorous chocolates for your sweet tooth. Well, you might agree that chocolates need no extra frills to attract the attention of the chocoholics but that doesn’t mean the luxe-market will stop blinging up anything and everything popular or mundane that it comes across. Take the Chocolatines Diamond Collection for instance. The 24 carat gold and diamond chocolates will make any mouth water.
Do not worry, the touch of the precious elements does not makes them any less edible or even delicious. The single mat Scotch ganache candies come studded with a candy diamond made from sugar. The successful finishing is provided by a foil of glassine paper inside a faux leather box.

If the rich and the famous had a thing for biking, well, it sure has to be fancy. Now, a bike can’t have motors attached or a couch like seat because, then it’s not a bicycle. So, folks at ilovemybike thought of creating a real dipped in luxury two-wheeler for those who can afford it. Previously, we did hear of the Charge Plug bicycle with a huge $18,750 price tag but from the looks of it the new bike too will be a hit and with a lower price of $4,117.
Again, ilovemybike’s little creation is both compact and green; two things that one always looks in for a bike. The goldplating is 24 carat, and the bike folds pretty easily to fit into a small and discreet suitcase like bag.

Stella Flame isn’t a very known name in the fashion circuit but that doesn’t mean she designs some-not-so attractive jewelry. As a matter of fact, the reality is just the opposite. Also the proprietress of Rock Hall, which is the new Connecticut B&B, Stella likes to spend her free time conceptualising and giving shape to bold and tasteful accessories.
Her brand is represented by Sola Showroom in Manhattan. If you go there, you will realise how her works are deeply influenced by the Mediterranean. In fact, the designer herself admits that she draws inspiration from the city of Istanbul. And her aim is to bring a modern twist to the traditional designs of the place she loves so much.

There are some occassions when glam is not glam until it is in your face. As blatant it might sound, the fact remains intact. Perhaps that is just the reason why designers are forever busy to put the bling tastefully together like the fols at Miu Miu. The Crystal-Heel Sandals that they have come up with is as gorgeous as the sun shining in the sky.
Evoking an old-time charm, these sexy and sleek sandals come with plenty of glitzy and big sized crystals neatly pressed onto the heels. The exterior is covered with molten gold witha tones down finish to balance the sparkle of the crystals.

Price may have been cut at most eateries due the global financial hit but not everyone likes to follow herd. Take the posh London curry house Bombay Brasserie, for instance. The cooks here have concocted a spectacular culinary delight with a price, that both have enough ammunition to blow your mind away even individually. So, you can well imagine the lethal combination that apparently is being patronised by the Richie Richs of the society.
Called The Samundari Khazana aka Treasure from the seas, this one is tasteful mix of Beluga caviar, sea snails and a whole lobster topped with edible gold. The head chef, Prahlad Hegde, believes that there still are many people who are willing to shell out the extra buck to pamper their taste buds. We hear that Prahlad is the one to have created this expensive curry, which in turn is an inspiration from his mother’s kitchen.

The ongoing Jeweled Objects of Desire exhibition is like a dream come true for any serious collector. It is being held at the Headly-Whitney Museum and will continue through July 31. Works by the likes of San Francisco-based Sidney Mobell are being featured. For those of you who don’t know, Mobell is well known for his Midas touch that even turns mundane things like mouse traps into extraordinary works of art.
So other than the spectacular 14 carat gold and diamond mouse trap, there is a gold garbage can to look out for. In fact there is a whole list of unexpected combinations of drab with the glam like the gold toilet seat, 2 million monopoly set made in rubies, diamonds, sapphires and gold, a gold-plated mailbox and a rather elaborate gold and diamond pacifier.
